On This Day in Trans Am History: Feb. 11, 1975

Feb. 11, 1975- 

Andy Lally was born in Long Island, N.Y. An accomplished road racer and 2011 NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year, Lally has a perfect record in Trans Am. In his lone race, Lally won the pole, set fastest race lap and won at Watkins Glen in 2017 in Claudio Burtin’s No. 3 Chevrolet Camaro. “I’d love to come back,” Lally said. “I love the current Trans Am format with TA and TA2.”
