(Full Report to Follow) Chris Dyson captured his second-career pole position at Road America on Friday to lead Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli qualifying for Saturday’s twin 100-mile races.
Driving the No. 20 Plaid Ford Mustang, the New Yorker tamed the mammoth 4.048-mile circuit in 2:05.489-seconds.
He will be joined on the front row by Tomy Drissi, with Ernie Francis Jr. and Amy Ruman on row two.
Cameron Lawrence celebrated his 28th birthday by capturing his 18th career TA2® pole position. The Austin driver ran 2:12.207 in the No. 8 3-Dimensional Services Group Ford Mustang, leap-frogging Rafa Matos and Mike Skeen.Erich Joiner led XGT in a back-and-forth battle with Ken Thwaits, Lee Saunders won his 10th career pole in SGT and Tim Horrell won his third GT pole of the season.
