Mia Lovell Earns Podium Result in Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli Western Championship

April 28, 2025 – Mia Lovell returned to the Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli action this weekend at Sonoma Raceway, where she competed with Nitro Motorsports in the talent-filled TA2 class. Earning a second-place podium result in her first event this season, Lovell continued her podium streak by celebrating with a third-place effort after Saturday’s main event this weekend at the famed Sonoma Raceway.

“It was an important weekend for me as it is a combined event with championship points available in both the National and Western Championships,” explained Lovell. “While my focus this year is to continue to improve and fight at the front of the field in the Western Championship, we did that again this weekend and will take that momentum to the next event.”

With both the National and Western Championship classes running together, and with qualifying rained out, the grid was set based on practice times, where Lovell found herself starting P11 in a 39-car field.

Jumping to an early lead and leading a handful of laps, Lovell once again battled at the front of the class as she looked to garner as many championship points as possible. With three caution periods for 11 laps in the 31-lap race, Lovell eventually crossed the finish line eighth in the National class and third in the West. Earning valuable points towards her championship total, Mia now sits third in the Western Championship with another event this weekend.

Lovell continued, “I’m excited to go again this coming weekend. I have some points to gain on my competitors, and what better place to do it than Laguna Seca.”

Taking to the track known for the famous Corkscrew, Lovell will hit the track Friday for a quick two-day weekend. With practice and qualifying taking place on Friday, the feature race will take place on Saturday, and Lovell will look to add another podium to her growing resume.
