Daytona, Fla.– John Paul (JP) Southern Jr. will make his Trans Am presented by Pirelli debut this weekend at Daytona International Speedway. The 17 year old from Westlake, Ohio, will be behind the wheel of the No. 83 Stevens-Miller Racing Dodge Challenger.
“Despite his age, he brings a wealth of experience,” Team Owner Joe Stevens said of the five-time National Karting champion, who started racing at the age of 5. “He’s a four-time winner in SCCA Formula Atlantic and has stood on the F3 America podium numerous times. We’re excited to see what he can do in one of our TA2 cars.”
Southern Jr. said, “I really appreciate Joe Stevens and Stevens-Miller Racing providing me the opportunity to drive his awesome TA2 Dodge Challenger at Daytona. This literally came together just days before the race and I look forward to being on track and getting to work.”
