FIX-ation AT LIME ROCK

Lakeville, CT (May 27, 2015)- For the third consecutive year Paul Fix and the #4 Stopflex.com/CarCoach/RoyalPurple/Well-Worth Chevrolet Corvette departed Lime Rock Park at the conclusion of Saturday’s race with the victor’s trophy in hand. The Memorial Day weekend visit to the track showcased once more that Fix has conquered the facility with relative ease and will not be deterred from achieving the 2015 Trans Am Series championship at the conclusion of the year’s racing. By triumphing at Lime Rock, Fix lessened the gap to first place in the season points standings and now sits a mere 12 points back.
The weekend started off in typical fashion with Fix sitting atop the time sheets in both practices and in securing the number one qualifying spot for the 67 laps of competition on Saturday. The Tony Ave Racing crew achieved their objective of dominating the weekend’s on track activities.
Said Fix, “It was very satisfying to sit on the pole and run flag to flag for our third straight win at Lime Rock. To win in front of so many enthusiastic Trans Am fans made the weekend that much better.”
“We had a great car that performed as it should have, “ said Fix of the flawless weekend.
While Fix maintained a gap between himself and the rest of the competitors, the race was not without incident. At one point with traffic coming into effect on the short course, Fix found himself maneuvering around slower cars.
“I hope I gave the spectators some drama down the front straight when I came together with a lapped car,” quipped Fix
There are eight events remaining for the Trans Am season. Fix will head into the Summer stretch with a continued vigor of obtaining points and mantling the Trigon Trophy. Next up will be the New Jersey Motorsports Park race on June 14.
Fans can watch the Lime Rock Park race on the CBS Sports Network on Saturday, June 6 at 12:00 p.m. ET and Saturday, June 13 at 12:00 p.m. ET.
