Burtin Racing to Debut Bullet Liner Corvette at Mid Ohio and Road America
August 7, 2015
Lexington, OH – August 7, 2015 – The Georgia based Burtin Racing team is set to sizzle as the Trans Am road racing action heads into Round 7 of the 2015 series championship at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on August 15.
It is with much anticipation that the debut of the Bullet Liner Corvette will be seen in full livery at Mid-Ohio and Road America. The two race partnership with Burtin Racing and Bullet Liner is geared up for prime action at the Trans Am and NASCAR Xfinity Series paired events.
Last month the team celebrated the 4th of July in South Georgia winning both the Saturday and Sunday SCCA National Championship Runoff qualifying races. It was disappointing to miss the event at Brainerd International Raceway however developmental gains from testing and dyno time proved to be competitive and a significant step towards victory for the team.
“We have put the time in on this car and our efforts are starting to pay off for us,” said Claudio Burtin, team driver and principal. “Its been a lot of hard work for all the guys, but the result is that our Corvette is now a really excellent handling car. I like the improvements and we are ready for a competitive weekend at Mid-Ohio!”
Presented by The 3-Dimensional Services Group, Trans Am teams with the NASCAR Xfinity Series at Mid-Ohio for Trans Am’s 27th appearance on the renowned Midwestern road course.
In this record breaking year for one of America's best loved motorsports formulas, the field is set at over 80 cars entered. Competition at the Trans Am Next Dimension 100 presented by First Energy will be fierce, with this car count beating the previous record set earlier this year at the FOAMETIX 100 at Road Atlanta by more than 10 cars.
Watch the action on the CBS Sports Network set to broadcast on Saturday, September 5 at 10:00 a.m. EST. To follow live download the Race Monitor application on your mobile device.
