Bodle's opener cut short

The 2014 Trans Am Series season opened with a surprise bump in the road for TA3 class championship runner up, Rob Bodle.  But a new race and a new blog opportunity are waiting this weekend at Homestead Miami Speedway.

"We started behind the other guys in class at Sebring because we didn't get to run on the Thursday test day and didn't get any laps on the new Hoosier series tire til qualifying.", Bodle said from the staging area at HMS.  "We are used to that, though, and our qualifying lap was a lot better than it looked on the stop watch.  We were relatively content.  The start of the race was good, too.  I passed a couple of cars and could have passed a couple more, if I'd wanted to race a little more aggressive.  Then I got sick.  Pow!"
Bodle had to bring the Caribbean Food Delights/Sabrina's Delights Mustang to the pits right after the first caution period and required treatment.  "Lesson learned.  I spent far too much time on the race weekend on racing business and just didn't eat or drink.  I've gone thru a lot of lifestyle changes in the off season and frankly have not adjusted them to my racing at all.  It was a big mistake."  Bodle said.  "We have a lot of points to make up already."
Fortunately, Bodle can get right back on the horse this weekend at HMS.
Meanwhile the Rob and StangTV.com are announcing a new blog partnership.  Bodle will be writing a regular racing blog throughout the Trans Am season.  StangTV.com Editor Don Creason is excited to work with Mustang driver, Bodle and the Trans Am Series, "For the past several years StangTV has been following several racing series in an effort to cover multiple forms of racing that Mustangs and Fords compete in. We're excited this year to add to our racing coverage the blog of Rob Bodie, who will offer exciting insight and perspective into the world of Trans Am racing from the driver's seat of his own FR500C.
Look for the first entry in Rob's racing blog this month.
The Trans Am Series continues March 9, 2014 at Homestead Miami Speedway.
