(Team Release) (Homestead, Fl – March 7, 2014) Driver Jason Berkeley and BMG Management topped the charts in TA3 in their first official session of the 2014 season of the iconic Trans Am series.
With a time of 1:33.546, Berkeley was nearly a full second clear of his nearest TA3 competitor Russ Snow, who ran a 1:34.519.
“The BMG Management Corvette is running pretty good right now. We have some more set-up work to do to get the handling of the car dialed-in for qualifying tomorrow and the race on Sunday, which is when it really matters,” Berkeley said. “The new Hoosier slicks are great, but have some different characteristics from the Hoosiers we had run previously, so were just working on optimizing things.
With the explosive growth of the Trans Am series of late, Trans Am has become one of the most exciting professional road racing series in North America.
Berkeley is making his Trans Am series debut this weekend at Homestead, and is a past winner of multiple SCCA National races, and of the SCCA Central Division National Points Championship in his Corvette.
