Archer Brothers Ready to Tackle the Hills and Thrills of VIR

Duluth, MN – The Archer Brothers team has reset the #54 c3controls Chevrolet Camaro after a tough outing at Road America last month and is bringing a fresh perspective and excitement to this weekend’s Trans Am TA2 Muscle Car Challenge event at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) in Alton, VA. The last few races had the Archer Brothers team working through some rough spots with the new car but this has motivated the team to push forward and make the necessary adjustments and continual improvement to the car. Nonetheless, Tommy and the car remain fast at each event as they work through the first year obstacles of having a new car and a new team. This gives the Archer Brothers team the opportunity to complete the remainder of this season and be competitive, in addition to, preparing for the full season next year and the quest for the 2016 championship.

VIR is nestled in the hills of Virginia and like any track, poses its own unique twists and turns that can challenge even the best of drivers. This race track is known for its long section of ‘S’ turns and its unique downhill section before the front straightaway.

“Going to VIR has me all excited to get back in the c3controls Chevrolet Camaro and get another weekend under our belt,” says Tommy. “The car is coming along and every time I buckle into that seat I feel more and more in tune with it as my own ride.” Additionally, John Archer and his Archer Brothers crew echo Tommy’s sentiments with their goal of having the car back on top of the charts. “The crew has worked hard to fine tune the car into a piece that feels like home to Tommy. That is a good thing as we have seen twice now that if we get the car right Tommy can be as fast as anyone out there.”
