Another Podium for Tomy Drissi at Mid-Ohio

Tomy Drissi once again piloted the team’s Lucas Oil, Mav TV, Franklin Road, and Mission Foods Chevrolet Camaro to the podium during round 6 of the Trans Am Presented by Pirelli at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this weekend

This marks the 3rd podium for Tomy Drissi this year and places him 3rd in the championship running

Tomy Drissi and Drissi Motorsports bring home another podium at Mid-Ohio during the Trans Am Presented by Pirelli Championship this weekend. There was no shortage of drama for anyone on the track when the engine start command was given and the rain started. A mixture of strategies played out and Drissi’s decision to come in for rain tires early in the race put him in a great position to battle for the lead for the majority of the race.

"It was a crazy race. We started on slicks, and as soon as the start engine command was given, it started raining. A few laps in, most of us came in for rain tires and that made it more even intense with the mixed strategy of cars with slicks and rain tires. I worked myself up to 8 seconds behind the leader and closing and got held back by some close calls with lap traffic which allowed Dyson to get me in the closing laps." said Drissi. “I’d like to thank all the fans who showed up in the rain and Lucas Oil, Mav TV, Franklin Road, and Mission Foods Chevrolet Camaro for being a part of all of this.”
