After Team Best Results, CB Motorsports Readies for WWTR This Weekend

Bacon and Odrick hungry for more

 

May 8, 2024 – Setting their season-best result at Road Atlanta and resetting that at NOLA Motorsports Park a few weeks later, CB Motorsports will aim to do that again this coming weekend. Competing on the road course of the WorldWide Technology Raceway, CB Motorsports will bring Caleb Bacon and Jared Odrick to round four of the Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli.

Sitting fifth in the points, Caleb Bacon’s quest this weekend is to improve his qualifying efforts in order to better his race results. Sitting fifth in the championship standings, Bacon has had to overcome mid-field starting positions to finish in the top-ten, something he is hoping that he can fix this weekend. 

“We have had three results inside the top-ten, including tenth, sixth, and fifth place finishes, but have always started outside the top-15,” explained Bacon. “If we can qualify a little better, I think we can fight for podiums and race wins rather than work on clawing our way back to where we deserve to be.”

Former NFL star Jared Odrick will race alongside Bacon. He comes into the event fresh from his first class podium result in New Orleans.

“Standing on the podium just made me hungrier for more,” added Odrick. “I have steadily improved and become more comfortable race after race, so I am anxious to get going this weekend, compete at another new track, and hopefully be back on the podium when the checkered flag flies.”

In a jam-packed two-day weekend, CB Motorsports will take to the track three times on Friday for a pair of test sessions and official practice before Saturday’s schedule will see qualifying and wheel-to-wheel racing. The complete weekend schedule can be found HERE.
