Holden Motorsports arrives at Sonoma Raceway Shooting for Two in a Row
April 29, 2022

Coming off their first win in the Trans Am Series Western Championship last Sunday at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, Holden Motorsports arrives at Sonoma Raceway shooting for two in a row!
The family race team and their #11 Mid-Valley Transmission/Dakota Lithium/RelaxAndCBD.com/M1 Racecars Chevrolet Camaro are ready for the weekend racing activities where the Western Championship Series will again race alongside the National Series on Sunday.
The Holden family, from Washington State, has raced and won in many different racing disciplines. Starting with Figure-8 in the 70’s, NASCAR Super Late Models in the 80’s along with setting Bonneville Salt Flat World Records over the years.
Owner/driver Jeff Holden continues the tradition of success here in the Trans Am Series capturing a victory in just his 2nd year. Jeff’s dad Rob is the crew chief, the duo has been racing together since Rob first put Jeff in a go cart back in the early 90’s.
Owner/Driver, Jeff Holden:
This is your second time racing at Sonoma, what did you learn last year about the track?
“Last year we started the race in the rain on slicks and it was our first time in a TA2 car. As the race went on the track dries up and we found the fast line. We’re coming back with track and setup knowledge.”
With the win last weekend at Laguna Seca, how do you feel about your chances this weekend?
“We’re really in good shape now and this momentum will carry through nicely to Sonoma. We had some late race suspension issues that were small, but surely hindering our speed. So, we know we’re going to be a lot stronger at the end of the race, which is when it counts.”
