HAMMER TIME

New York – The F.A.S.T Auto Racing team arrives at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) for this weekend’s
Trans Am presented by Pirelli event after some serious hammer time at their New York shop. The team has
been “all in” to repair the major damage received after being hit from behind at Watkins Glen International.
Team Owner Adrian Wlostowski said, “We’ve had to do a ton of work in a very short amount of time to get to
VIR. Everyone on the F.A.S.T. Auto Racing Team as well as at Howe Racing Enterprises stepped up once again.
In our first season I’ve had to call on my guys over and over to go above and beyond and they haven’t flinched.
I cannot say enough about my team and the support we’ve received from Chas Howe and his team.”
The back half of the No. 3 Hawk Performance, Howe Racing Enterprises, Camaro was severely damaged from
the incident in Saturday’s race at Watkins Glen. The rear frame, quarter panels, wing and supports all had to
be replaced.
“It’s unfortunate that these things happen, but every series has races like The Glen. We’re closing in on the
end of the season and for some drivers the pressure is on. I’m fortunate to have the continued support of
Hawk Performance locked in for next season and we’ll continue to do our best the last two races of the
season.”
In his first year competing in TA2, Wlostowski and his team have shown steady improvement. From the fourth
round at Lime Rock Park on the No. 3 Hawk Performance Camaro has consistently finished in the top 10.
Those, along with his recent string of top five finishes, put Wlostowski fifth in points heading into TA2’s
penultimate round at VIR.
“We had a great finish Sunday at the Glen coming home fifth despite the damage from the previous day. The
car has been really good, and my team continues to give 100 percent,” said Wlostowski. “We’ve been close to
our first top-three finish, and I’d love to stand on the podium for my team and Hawk Performance. Everyone
has worked really hard, and it would mean a lot to all of us to have a podium finish.
“VIR will be tough, the track is super fast and it takes a lot to stay hard on the gas. All the front runners will be
back despite the number of cars that were damaged at the last event. The racing in TA2 is some of the best in
the country, the teams are first class, and the competition is extremely tough – and that’s exactly how we like
it.”
