Michael Mihld Talks Trans-Am 2 with Turnology

8 February 2019--Trans-Am presented by Pirelli racer Michael Mihld and his LS-powered Camaro were recently profiled by Turnology. Mihld, like many in the TA2 category, found himself attracted to the perfect combination of speed, running costs, and close competition when he committed to the TA2 formula. 

Having gone from starting with a “box of goodies”that arrived at the shop to taking the fully-prepared Camaro to the track, Mihld recalls the anticipation and thrill of making his racing dreams come true.

Michael Mihld has always been attracted to the simplicity, classic lines, and brute force of the TA2 recipe. Growing up in the 1970s, a young Mihld was fortunate enough to witness the original Trans Am Javelins, Mustangs, and Camaros which were, in his starry teenage eyes, “the high point of American road racing.” Naturally, he formed a strong sentimental attachment which never died.
