3Dimensional Services Driver’s Spotlight: Amy Ruman
May 22, 2014

On September 9, 2011 at Road Atlanta, Amy Ruman cemented herself in the Trans Am history books, becoming the first woman to win a Trans Am race, a feat she has repeated twice more in her Trans Am career.
Driving the No. 23 McNichols Company Chevrolet Corvette, Ruman currently stands third in the 2014 Trans Am Championship point standings heading into Round 5 at New Jersey Motorsports Park.
Ruman’s father, Bob Ruman, raced in the Trans Am Series from 1996 to 2004, amassing 95 starts, seven Top 5 finishes and 30 Top 10 finishes, last racing in Trans Am in 2004.
Ruman was quick to follow in her father’s footsteps, making her Trans Am debut in 2005, at Cleveland. Since then she has participated in 46 Trans Am races, with three wins, 28 Top 5 appearances, and 37 Top 10 appearances. She also finished second in the 2012 Trans Am Championship, just 11 points shy of Champion Simon Gregg.
Now, Ruman, hot off a close second place finish at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park to Ron Fellows, and the Ruman Racing family prepare to join Trans Am in New Jersey for Round 5; as she continues her pursuit of a Trans Am Championship and yet another potential appearance in the Trans Am record book.
