Spillfix and Quine Racing Ready for 2015 TransAm Debut
August 14, 2015
MEDINA, OH—August 13, 2015 –Spillfix Industrial Organic Absorbent and driver Aaron Quine will make their 2015 TransAm debut in Quine Racing’s TA2 Camaro.
Quine made his TransAm debut in 2014, running three races in a Tony Ave Racing Howe Mustang and getting a season-best finish of fifth at Mid-Ohio. This year he’s put together his own team, with a brand new Howe Racing Enterprises Camaro and a Katech Racing engine.
“We built the car from the ground up and were hoping to get on track earlier in the season,” said Quine. “It took a little longer than we anticipated to pull everything together. We’re thrilled to have Spillfix on board as our primary sponsor and hope to pick up where we left off last year at Mid-Ohio.”
“We’re very excited to step up as Aaron’s primary sponsor for the rest of this season,” said Spillfix chief executive Joe Davids. “This is our first foray into motorsports, and we’re loving what we’ve seen so far this weekend from the TransAm series and from Quine Racing.
“Our motto at Spillfix is ‘The threat stops here.’ With Quine Racing and the TransAm series, our new motto might have to be “The thrill starts here.”
In addition to support from Spillfix, Quine Racing is teaming with Adam Andretti and his ECC Motorsports Camaro. “Adam has had great success running his TA2 Camaro, so it’s great to have him as a teammate to help with setups and to work out any kinks,” said Quine.
The Quine Racing Camaro features a Hugger Orange livery inspired by the 1969 Camaro Z28. “TransAm is enjoying a terrific resurgence, with huge fields, close finishes and big crowds,” said Quine. “I think fans like TransAm because they can relate to the cars, particularly if they’re fans of 60’s and 70’s muscle cars.”
