PAUL FIX TAKES AIM AT AMERICA’S NATIONAL PARK OF SPEED
August 26, 2015
Williamsville, NY (August 26, 2015)- This week’s event for Paul Fix and the #4 Stopflex.com/CarCoach/RoyalPurple/Well-Worth Chevrolet Corvette pursuit for the 2015 Trans Am Series championship is the Next Dimension 100, Presented by The 3-Dimensional Services Group at the famed Road America four mile circuit. Fix comes to Round 8 just 22 points shy of first place in the overall season standings. Coming off a significant win at Mid-Ohio, the previous race on the calendar, Fix intends to achieve another victory.
“My intentions this weekend are the same as the last race, “ said Fix. “I'm not worried about anyone else, I'm just going to run my own race and let the points take care of themselves. Hopefully the strategy will work like it did for our Mid-Ohio win.”
Fix and the No. 4 car will be riding a wave of success having survived Mid-Ohio victoriously. Fix has become a fixture on the podium this season, with two wins to his credit and numerous top three finishes. Consistency has played a key role in placing Fix right in the thick of things for his first Trans Am championship.
Said Fix, “The key to a championship is you have to be there at the end of every race. We have certainly proven that we are capable of getting the job done.”
Not only is Fix in contention for the champion’s trophy, he is poised to take home the 3-Dimensional Services Triple Shot Showdown award. The award recognizes the Trans Am driver who achieves the most points from Lime Rock Park, Mid-Ohio and Road America. Fix has a firm grasp on the category and will most certainly complete the task this weekend at Road America.
“I am looking forward to racing at Road America,” noted Fix. “The track is truly a gem on our schedule. At four miles in length and with the array of topography, it is a real thrill ride.”
Trans Am will practice on Thursday at 2:50 PM CT. Friday will see cars take to the track for Fast Five Qualifying at 8:30AM CT and a final practice session at 10:30AM CT. The green flag will wave on Saturday’s 25 laps of racing at 9:30AM CT.
