St. Augustine, FL (February 27, 2019) The 2019 Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli begins this weekend at Sebring International Raceway. This season, TeamSLR/Fields and M1 Fastrack Racecars will compete with two cars for the full schedule, and a third car that will run a limited schedule beginning at Road Atlanta for round #2.

Scott Lagasse Jr. and Jacob Mosler will run the entire schedule along with other talented drivers to be announced during the season.

Team SLR/ Fields/M1 Racing is the exclusive sales and service provider for M1 Fastrack Chassis and Race Cars.

"We've enjoyed working with the guys at M1 and Fields Racing over the past couple years and it's a natural progression to grow the relationship," says Scott Lagasse Sr. "SLR has been instrumental in developing a performance package which includes tuning the TA2 cars for ease of driving at the limits. The TA2 cars are so equal these days and for us its really about the drivers being comfortable at the limits allowing them to consistently run fast laps."

Scott Lagasse Jr.

This will be Scotty's first full season in Trans Am competing for the championship and his car number will change from the #95 to #92. The #92 has history as a family number previously run by Joe Liesfeld when he first started his racing career for Fields Racing in 1979.

Although Scott Jr. is relatively new to road racing, he has significant depth as a racer having won many races in Karting, Modifieds, Late Model on dirt and asphalt as well as the ASA Touring Series and ARCA Series. With a string of top 5 finishes last season, Scott Jr. is expected to challenge the best in the series in the No. 92 SLR/Fields/M1 Fastrack Racing/ Jack Wilson Chevrolet Camaro in 2019. The car will also carry Scott's SCREEN YOUR MACHINE™ message along with American Cancer Society and FightCRC among others this season.

"Sebring is unique in many ways, and has an impressive history. I would certainly like to add it the list of places where I have won. Our SLR/M1 Fastrack/Fields Racing team has worked hard this off-season to be ready for this weekend. I think it is cool to honor earlier racers, and an honor to run the #92 for the Liesfeld family," said Lagasse Jr.

Jacob Mosler

Jacob Mosler will join Scott Lagasse Jr. as a teammate for the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli. Jacob made his debut in Daytona last November with a solid performance and will compete for Rookie of the Year honors. "Jacob's transition into TA2 from a lower horsepower car in SCCA Club racing has been impressive. He is a talented driver with a lot of potential and is a fast learner with good car control, so we expect that he will progress quickly," said Scott Lagasse Sr.

"I'm looking forward to getting the season started and competing in the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli. There are a lot of great racers in the field, and I can't wait to race with them at Sebring. I know working with Scott Sr., Scotty, Lee and TeamSLR/Fields/M1 Fastrack will be beneficial for me, as I can continue to learn as a driver," said Mosler.
