Burtin Racing Bound for Road America Trans Am Weekend
August 25, 2016
Elkhart Lake, WI – August 24, 2016 – The Georgia based GoShare Corvette team is ready to embark on the next venue of Trans Am competition located at Road America. Burtin Racing is set to race this weekend where the Trans Am Series will feature Round 7 of the championship at this iconic motorsport facility rich with sportscar history.
The Trans Am 100 will start Saturday morning at 8:50 a.m. CT followed by the NASCAR Xfinity Series race. Expectations are high for an adrenaline packed weekend of racing with a large turnout of spectators looking to get close to the action.
It will be a fight of American muscle on one of the longest racing circuits visited by the Trans Am Series – Road America boasts a length of 4.05-miles and 14-turns. The No. 7 GoShare Corvette C7.R will aim to outwit the strategy over the competitors as the team seeks to gain important point standings within the championship battle.
“We gave a hard push at Mid-Ohio and will be looking to carry that focus with us to Road America this weekend,” said Claudio Burtin, team owner and driver. “The crew working on my racecar continue to deliver an outstanding job and with constant improvements we find success every weekend as a team. That is real dedication and teamwork.”
