GoShare Corvette Heads to Daytona Straight from SEMA Trans Am Pirelli Announcement

Daytona Beach, FL – November 10, 2016 – The 50th Anniversary of the Trans Am Series Championship will commence this weekend, Nov 11-12, at the Daytona International Speedway with a high performance field of American sportscar entries. Burtin Racing is geared up for a return to the super speedway with a prepped racecar and looking for a top finish in Trans Am with the No. 7 GoShare Corvette C7.R.

The GoShare Corvette has made the journey across the United States from Las Vegas where the car was featured as part of the Pirelli and Trans Am announcement at the SEMA Show. In 2017, the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli will be the official presenter and tire supplier.

“This new agreement with Trans Am is part of a wider plan to continue growing the commercial motorsports business in the North American market,” added Pirelli’s North American Vice President of Motorsports, Communications and Prestige, Rafael Navarro. “Our direction was clear from the beginning and we have developed and produced a product that introduces radial technology to all categories, improving performance while maintaining the characteristics fans have come to appreciate from Trans Am racing.”

Burtin Racing has promoted GoShare throughout the various Trans Am event weekends in effort to spread the message of local on-demand delivery services provided on the GoShare app. GoShare is your friend nearby with a truck. The black and blue Chevrolet Corvette C7.R will display the GoShare theme again this weekend in Daytona.

“SEMA was a great opportunity for Trans Am and our GoShare Corvette to have a featured presence within the industry – it’s exciting to have Pirelli product and a world-class brand getting involved in what we do,” stated Claudio Burtin, team owner and driver. “With the car we have had some excellent progress and the team always looks forward to running at Daytona. We should look to be competitive this weekend and the weather conditions appear to be positive – which helps!”

The Trans Am Series finale is scheduled for Saturday, November 12 at 1:20 p.m. EST. Download the Race Monitor application for session timing and scoring. Follow @Burtin_Racing on Twitter for team messages.
