September 22, 2016
ALTON, Va. [September 21, 2016] – Stevens-Miller Racing (SMR) is proud to announce the addition of Driver Jordan Bernloehr for the 8th round of the Trans Am Series TA2 Championship at Virginia International Raceway (VIR).
Joe Stevens, Owner of SMR, became good friends with Bernloehr competition head-to-head during 2015 Trans Am Championship. Now out of the driver seat and at the helm of SMR, Stevens is enthused about the prospect of working together with Bernloehr towards a singular goal.
"The entire SMR crew is excited to see what might be possible with Jordan on board,” said Stevens. “Here at Virginia International Raceway Jordan will make his first appearance in the #12 Speedlogix Racing Dodge Challenger. Although the balance and overall performance will be similar to his BC Racing Chevrolet Camaro, the ergonomics, driver seating position and windshield shape are much different. Jordan has his work cut out for him with a new car and team but we're confident that Jordan can handle the challenge and continue his goals within TA2.”
"I'm truly excited to get the opportunity to be behind the wheel of one of the SMR Challengers,” said Bernloehr. “The team has been great and VIR is a very fun track so with a bit of luck we'll have a good result. As always I'm grateful for the continued support of family and friends, Speedlogix Racing and ProKart indoors!”
Bernloehr will add his talents to that of Louis-Phillippe Montour, driver of the No. 77 Speedlogix Racing Dodge Challenger, giving SMR a potent one-two punch of talented young drivers in the ultra-competitive TA2 class as the team looks to continue it’s two race streak of top five finishes.
Stevens-Miller Racing (SMR) competes in the Trans Am Series within the TA2 class. Under the ownership and management of Joe Stevens, SMR fields multiple TA2 Dodge Challengers within the ultracompetitive class. Within the TA2 class SMR offers racecar set-ups, services, transportation, TA2 rentals and more. Interested parties should contact SMR at Joe@StevensMillerRacing.com.
