Archer Brothers Team Finishes 8th, 14th and 16th at NOLA Motorsports Park

New Orleans, LA – Tommy Archer and the Archer Brothers team hit the track at NOLA Motorsports Park today for Round 10 of 12 of the Trams Am TA2 series. Archer driving the #54 c3controls Chevrolet Camaro competed in the top 4 for the majority of the race but an uncalled for collision with a slower TA3 car cut Archer’s day short and resulted in a 14th place finish. Archer Brothers weekend team drivers Jordan Bernloehr had a strong 8th place finish and Ron Keith, after a spin on lap 22, finished 16th.

Tommy started the race not wasting any time moving to the front of the field and passing 2 cars on the first lap to take the 4th spot. Archer continued to spend the majority of the race battling for the 2nd and 3rd positions with series drivers Gar Robinson and Adam Andretti. Unfortunately, the collision on lap 32 of the 37 race resulted in heavy damage and will require additional inspection to see if the team can have it ready prior to the next event. This unfortunate setback will impact the teams’ momentum and ability to build the program in preparation for next year’s championship run. “I can’t thank the crew enough that by race time here at a new track, we were contending in the top 5. Our ability to move to the front so quickly and hang with the leaders until the late race caution proves that we had quality car,” says Tommy.

The Archer Brothers team would like to congratulate Gar Robinson, Shane Lewis and Adam Andretti on their 1,2,3 finish at today’s race. The Trans Am series will have a few weeks off prior to the next event at Circuit of the Americas located in Austin, TX on Saturday, November 7th at 4:00pm.
